During the course of repair, complete effort and care will be used to discharge our professional repair duties on all devices in relation to liquid damage and/or IC replacement service.

A. Liquid Damage

From our experience, when liquid penetrates a device, it may result to unpredictable faults over time. Thus, this service is not covered by any form of warranty. Even if the device is brought to us in “full” working condition [a temporary state in which the corrosion on the mainboard acts as a bridge and allows electrical current to flow], the water damage service may actually result in a non-functioning device; as the service incorporates the use of special agents to clean and anti-static brushes to clear off corroded areas on the mainboard. This cleaning may cut-off the electric circuit completely depending on the severity of the corrosion.

Despite this, we have recorded successful cases (up to 60%) in treating liquid damage cases and restoring full device functionality. Furthermore, the chances of success are higher if the device;

(i) is brought to us immediately or a few minutes to hours after liquid ingress,

(ii) was powered off as at the time of contact and

(iii) was not plugged in to power or charged after the liquid ingress.

Hence, the customer/company (or his/her proxy/representative), by authorizing this service agrees to indemnify and discharge CPR Cell Phone Repair of all losses in the event that the device stops functioning (totally) or loses some of its functions.

B. IC Replacement

It is relatively common to have integrated circuits in devices fail due to several factors. The most common being display and power IC failures. Hence, a non-functioning device may have an IC issue without the customer realizing so, especially when it is brought to us dead (without charge and cannot be powered on) or “on” but no display. The failures could be as a result of (but not limited to);

  1. Power surge: a power surge is basically a spike in electrical current. The spike is very brief, usually lasting less than a thousandth of a second but it can still cause a severe damage to IC components.
  2. Design problem: In certain power supply designs, the power section is very robust and though it can detect short circuiting and mitigate total system damage, some components may be affected.
  3. Moisture, liquid, etc.

Thus, there is a chance that the device may or may not work after an IC replacement. In addition, there is no warranty covering IC replacements if successful. However, we will attend to issues that are related to the IC replacement and is not a result of power surge within 10 days of repair.

Hence, the customer/company (or his/her proxy/representative), by authorizing this service agrees to indemnify and discharge CPR Cell Phone Repair of all losses in the event that the IC replacement service is not successful.

Thank you for choosing CPR Cell Phone Repair and we appreciate your patronage.
